Who we are
Welcome to Talking Therapies. We are an NHS service that offers help and support to people in Berkshire suffering with depression or anxiety based problems. Our team is made up of Therapists, Counsellors and an administrative support team.
What we do
There are various ways in which we can help and together we can decide which option suits you best. After assessment, we will decide with you the most appropriate therapy from the following NICE (National Institute for Health and Care Excellence) recommended treatments:
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
- Counselling for Depression (CfD)
- Interpersonal Psychotherapy for Depression ((IPT)
- Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy (DIT)
- Behavioural Couple Therapy for Depression
we also offer Stress Control workshops and emplyment support.
To make sure our service is as easy to access as possible are able to deliver therapy via a number of different ways:
- Online via the internet
- Face to face
We will try to find an appointment that is convenient for you to attend. We are able to offer you a choice of two appointments in your chosen town. Regrettably, if you are unable to accept the appointments we have available, we will ask you to call back at a later date or accept our flexible online support programme.

If you are experiencing severe or complex depression/anxiety that may require specialist services such as substance misuse teams, speak to your GP who will be able to refer you appropriately.
